My silly 2 year old...
We went to Walmart yesterday (shocker I know..those of you living in Altus will understand) to get some cookies for our church Lifegroup potluck. As we are leaving the bakery section, I notice Alex chewing on something. I am thinking, 'Oh Lord...please don't let this be something off the ground!' I ask Alex what he's eating and he says 'Mmmm, apple Mama!' So we trek back to where the cookies were, and across the aisle, there are big shiny apples within my toddlers grasp...and one of them is missing a chunk. Yup, he took a bite of an apple, and then put it back before I even noticed he did it. A sweet woman watched the entire thing giggling, but the cashier didn't think it was as funny.
All in all, Alex was happy camper as he ate his apple on the way home, and I am thankful that God is still answering my prayers, even those muttered under my breath.

Alex and Firetrucks!
Alex had his first encounter with firetrucks yesterday. It was fire prevention and safety week and they ended it with a parade of firetrucks and police cars through base housing. He, of course being the 2 year old boy that he is, absolutely loved it! We went to the open house at the firehouse on base and he got to sit and 'drive' in a firetruck. He was so impressed, that is all he's been able to talk about since. I even won a $20 gift certificate to the flower shop on base...all in all, a good time :)

Cute things my 2 year old says:
This will be a common occurence in my blog since Alex is learning new words and phrases every day...
A few days ago Carter sneezes and Alex gets right in his face and says, "Bless you!"
This morning after church we asked him what he learned about today, he points to his take home worksheet and says: "Jeez!" (or in our language, that would be Jesus)
