Happy Halloween!

Here are the boys in their costumes:

What is Alex supposed to be, you ask? A train conductor...but he threw a huge fit when I tried to put it on...so I guess no trick or treating for him tonight. He did wear the outfit once last week, but I failed to get a picture of him in it. Maybe one day....

wohoo! my first tag!

Angie gave me my first tag, so I guess I had better do it!

1. I have 3 drafts in the making, hopefully I can get these done and posted soon, I know you are all dying to know what's been going on here lately ;)

2. Carter is going to wear the cutest crocheted pants for Halloween that a friend made me, I can't wait to show them off!

3. I loved going camping when I was a kid at Cass Lake and Potato Lake in MN, I hope this is something we can do with our kids soon!

4. I should be playing with Alex, but he is being so nice and quiet watching Imagination Movers while Carter is napping, that I don't want to bother him (oh yeah...I heart Imagination Movers!)

5. I wasn't a fan of chocolate until I got pregnant with Alex, now I don't know how I survived so long without it.

6. I am kicking my husband's butt in our Fantasy Football league...and my team name is Hotpants&bnanahamocs.

7. I wanted to be a marine biologist on the ocean when I was a kid...seemed fitting since I grew up in North Dakota, eh?

Hopefully I didn't bore you to death! Here are the people I am gonna tag:

Stephanie
Bobbie
Natalie
Lauren

That was fun Angie, thanks! :)

Visit from the Applegren side!

Last week my mom, dad, sister, and neice came to visit from good ol' North Dakota. It was a short visit, but I enjoyed every single moment!

Alex and Lily were best friends within minutes of seeing each other again, he even showed her his cool moves:

We even had a 'Wally World' moment searching for a pumpkin patch that was closed this year...I knew I should've called a head of time! But we did get some pretty good pictures of the kids at a Walmart setup...yes, it's true...we've been 'Altusized' (like the propane tanks in the background?):

Since my mom and dad stayed at a hotel due to all of the work going on in the house, we got to bring the kiddos to the pool...it was Carter's first time...and I don't think he really knew what to think of it:

I don't think my sister, Jen, will ever visit again...she broke out in hives just worrying about the spiders. Having our house sprayed for them every 3 months, just wasn't good enough for her. ;) Anyway, If you want to see more pictures, I am working on uploading them to our picture website: http://www.ktnjasonsfamily.myphotoalbum.com/ . Thanks for coming! Big hugs!

NO! You can't have him ;)

Several times when I say my family is coming to visit my friends will ask to borrow my dad. He builds stuff....beautiful stuff...and always comes down with something hand-made by him, and his tools to do a project in the house, 'cause that's just the way he is. So this time he came with a new dresser for Carter:

And he replaced our carpet in the dining room and toy room with wood laminate:

One time he brought a rocking horse for Alex (which he made me when I was 2, and I got to hand it down):

And another time he replaced our kitchen countertops:

My dad is awesome, and I just want to say thank you for everything you do, and I love you!

Carter's 4 Month Well-Baby

Happy 4 months Carter! I so thought he was going to be bigger, but it turns out Alex was such a peanut at this age (ok...he's still a peanut), that it just makes Carter seem ginormous in comparison! This picture was taken during lastnight's bath...I just love his curly mohawk!

Carter's stats because I know you are all dying with anticipation: 15lbs 4oz (50th); 25.5 inches (75th ~ shocked, aren't you?!); and 40cm head circumference (10th ~ definately isn't taking that from the Larimore gene's, is he?)

Here's a pic of the boys while we were waiting for Dr. Bruno...we are always put into the "Princess" room when we see her....Hello?!? I have 2 boys here! But Alex thinks the 'girls' are pretty ;)

Carter still isn't rolling, but hopefully with the help of cousin Lily

He will be by the end of next week. :)

Much love,

Alex and Firetrucks!

Alex had his first encounter with firetrucks yesterday. It was fire prevention and safety week and they ended it with a parade of firetrucks and police cars through base housing. He, of course being the 2 year old boy that he is, absolutely loved it! We went to the open house at the firehouse on base and he got to sit and 'drive' in a firetruck. He was so impressed, that is all he's been able to talk about since. I even won a $20 gift certificate to the flower shop on base...all in all, a good time :)

Great Grandma and Grandpa Gannon visit!

Carroll, Ralph, and Midge came for a visit on their way to a wedding in Arizona on the 7th & 8th. Alex took to 'PaPa' right away and climbed in has lap for breakfast and to watch a little TV:

While Carter warmed up to Great Grandma Carroll right away. I think he really liked her kisses:

Even Jason got to hang out a little:

I am so happy they were able to come through...it seems you miss family even more when you live in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma! I hope it won't be another year before we see you all again
